She was sitting with her friend in a favorite restaurant of mine, Toi Moi Cafe.
What caught my attention was her warm smile of thank you and eye contact with the waitress in front of her who was placing her order.
It was a reaction that is all too rare.
Most people just ignore the presence of the waiter or waitress.
I was curious to find out who she was.
“I’m an actor.”
“How long have you been an actor”
“Two years.
Before that I was a legal secretary.
But I had always wanted to be an actor.
It was retirement and the pension that came with it that gave me the time to follow my dream….
