I must say, I was intrigued by his leg. It was bent on a contraption the same height
from the ground as his good leg.
The moment i saw the foot, I realized he had some kind of leg problem.
"I broke my ankle and the doctor gave me a choice:
"Crutches until it heals, or this contraption that will keep the weight off your foot."
Once the mystery of the contraption was solved, I looked up....and up....and up!
He was six foot something, tall and slim, absolutely gorgeous,
And a smile that warmed the entire pharmacy in which we were in.
So, the usual opener,
"So, what do you do?"
"I'm a baseball coach over at Sandlot of young kids 12-16."
A young man with a passion!
"I love baseball. I played pro at college in California,"
Born in Oregon, married a beautiful Quebecoise, lives and coaches in Montreal.
"I pass on my passion for the game to the young boys and girls whom I coach."
Double love. Double passion!
How lucky can a young man be!
