As soon as I saw her, I was intrigued. I thought to myself,
“She is not a young woman, but on the other hand, she doesn’t dress like an old woman.”
So I asked her.
“ How old are you?”
“95!”
I was stunned.
“Did you ever have a face lift? You have so few wrinkles and you don’t even have a sagging chin.”
She laughed, obviously enjoying the question.
“No, never. No face lift!”
“Then what is your secret?”
“I laugh a lot. I was very sad when my husband died. We were happy for 62 years.
I am still sad sometimes, but when ever I have heartache, I laugh it away.
For a moment she looked inward. And then shares a story.
"I tell my friend: 'If you’re unhappy because you had to sell your house, why be unhappy?
You can always visit it on the street. And in your heart it will always be yours.
I have a wonderful companion. She also knows how to laugh.
We laugh together!”
