She caught my attention as she waited in line at the bank. She walked with extreme difficulty. But despite the obvious pain, her clothes spoke of a joyous person. She had put herself together with great flair and color and imagination.
“My spine was severely affected when I gave birth to my second child. I teach English at a French University. I don’t enjoy it as much as I did 4 years ago. The atmosphere has changed. I will be retiring soon.”
“What will you do?”
“Write! I have had articles published. I love it.”
