As i was walking on the sidewalk beside the park my attention was caught by this young man and his dog.
The dog refused to budge. That in itself wasn't remarkable. A lot of dogs refuse to budge.
What caught my attention was the young man didn't try to force him to continue walking.
He was relaxed.
Patient.
And seemed to be ready to wait all the time until the dog was ready to start moving.
None of the "yanking" by impatient owners who refuse to respect their pet's needs.
So I stopped and commented on his patience. And then asked him, "Why is your dog refusing to budge?"
He explained. "We were walking home when my girlfriend had to go to the bathroom situated in the park.
I changed direction and started walking back with my girlfriend.
My dog refused to budge. He wasn't going anywhere unless he was going home!!!!!!!!!
Lucky girlfriend!
Any man who doesn't force his dog to follow against his will but has the patience to wait for his dog to be ready to move on,
is going to treat his wife-to-be the same way!
